Who is Becoming H.E.R. Counseling and Consulting ?
Becoming H.E.R. Counseling and Consulting, LLC is a private practice focused on providing counseling services for Single Moms and Professional Women, who are facing various challenges like anxiety, depression, women’s issues, and relationship problems. Our services are designed for each woman's specific needs, using proven methods alongside caring support. We promote resilience, healing, and personal growth in a safe, welcoming space, making sure every woman feels listened to, valued, and ready to start her journey toward mental wellness.
Do you offer in-person or virtual therapy sessions?
We currently provide virtual therapy sessions only.
Do you accept insurance.
At this time, we do not accept health insurance. We accept Debit/Credit cards, and HSA/FSA payment methods. We accept a sliding scale fee that may vary depending on need. We accept payment voucher through the Loveland Foundation, which will pay up to $120 for up to 12 sessions for women of color, no matter if you have health insurance or not. What is your cancellation policy?
At least a 24 hour notice is required for cancellations or rescheduled appointments. Late cancellations/rescheduling and no call, now show for appointment will incur a fee.
What services do you provide?
We offer intake session, individual therapy, and group therapy.
What issues do you treat?
We treat mild to moderate anxiety, depression, stress, life-transitions, women’s issues, self-esteem issues, parenting, and work-life balance.
-We understand that most have experienced some form and degree of trauma at one point or another in their lifetime and will address it in session. However, we do not treat complex trauma, or offer trauma intensives, such as EMDR.
What issues do you not treat?
We do not treat severe depression, complex trauma, personality disorders, eating disorders, grief, ADHD, bi-polar disorders, TBI’s, psychotic disorders, severe mental illness, or substance use disorders.
Since we operate solely virtual it is not safe or appropriate for us to treat those who are severely depressed and/or suicidal, or who have recently had an suicidal attempt.
What are your hours of operation?
We are currently open part-time on Mondays, from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

How long therapy sessions?
Sessions usually last 60 minutes.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?

What happens during a therapy session?
In therapy sessions you can share your thoughts, open up about emotions and experiences. The therapist helps identify thought and behavior patterns affecting your life and may ask questions to clarify feelings. Together, you address concerns and their impacts on daily life and relationships. Therapy sessions offers a supportive, non-judgmental environment ensures you feel heard, leading to increased self-awareness and effective handling of life's challenges.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies based on your specific goals and challenges. We’ll work together to create a personalized plan to meet your needs.
